Bonjour and welcome to a very busy Week 8 as final preparations are made for our school production. There are only 3 weeks left in the term now and we are all looking forward to Spring ramping up properly as Winter tries to keep a grip on things.
Children have all recently been tested in The Structured Literacy spelling test and are all showing good progress.
School Production - Little Red RockingHood
Mrs Trask has been doing a wonderful job as director of our school production, a production which is starting to come together nicely. All our evening shows are now sold out, although there are still tickets available for the matinee performance.
A Rock Opera full of singing, dancing, and humour.
This is a lively, modern retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Jane Trask is directing and choreographing
Little Red Rocking Hood alongside our Musical Director, Lorette Tiedt. Together with a production team
of talented teachers, parents and volunteers, we have produced this classic story with a twist.
Please purchase a ticket for all adults and children attending (not children who are performing in the
show).

School Fun Run
The School Fun Run is all about FUN!
October 21 2022
Get behind the school and help us reach our goal. This is replacing the
Gala Day this year.
How Does My Child Fundraise?
Firstly, go to schoolfunrun.co.nz and create a student profile page. Everything to do with your fundraising
revolves around this page. Share the page with family and friends
(Facebook, email or text) and let the fundraising begin. The children can offer to do a chore, help in
some way to exchange for sponsorship. The children can have fun watching
their page evolve, collect stickers, earn badges and see the leaderboard.
Students who raise just $10 will be able to choose a prize! The more they raise,
the better their reward – you will find the full range in your sponsorship form.
WIN JUICY’S FOR THE CLASS
The class who has the most profiles by Friday 16th will receive Juicy’s.
Winners will have the Juicy’s delivered to their class on Monday.
Upcoming events - for your diary
On Friday 28th October at 9.00 am we are celebrating Grandparents Day. Grandparents and Grandfriends (Grandfriends are older people who are like grandparents to the children) are welcome to come and spend the morning with us starting with Mass in the church followed by morning tea and activities at school. Andrew Chinn, a Religious Songwriter and musician, will be leading the singing at Mass. We sing a lot of Andrew’s songs at our Masses and liturgies. It will be an awesome celebration so I encourage everyone to come to Mass on this day.
